Why subscribe?
Furthermore is a place to go deeper. I absolutely love connecting with readers and writers on Instagram, but sometimes I crave a longer format. A place to let my mind wander without having to think about caption limits or if I’m posting at the right time.
My hope is that Furthermore feels like breath of fresh air in your inbox; I am deeply inspired by the natural world, and I hope some of the calm, peace, and inspiration that nature gives us comes through just a little in this space.
This newsletter will include updates and announcements on my books and events, and will also include sneak peaks into fun things, musings on craft, and the joys of living a creative life.
I would love for you to join me. 🤍

Meet Rachel
This is where I’ll convert the bio from my website from third person to first and hope it doesn’t sound awkward. ✨
Hi! I’m Rachel Griffin, and I write novels inspired by the magic of the world around me. I am the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of The Nature of Witches, Wild is the Witch, and Bring Me Your Midnight. My upcoming novel, The Sun and the Starmaker, is releasing on February 17, 2026.
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and have a deep love of nature, from the mountains to the ocean and all the towering evergreens in between. I adore moody skies and thunderstorms, and hope more vampires settle down in my beloved state of Washington.
On my path to writing novels, I graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Science in diagnostic ultrasound. I worked in healthcare for five years and taught ultrasound at my alma mater before making the switch to a small startup. I now write full-time from my home in the Seattle area.
When I’m not writing, you can find me wandering the PNW, reading by the fire, or drinking copious amounts of coffee and tea. I live with my husband and growing collection of houseplants.
Stay up-to-date
